FilipinoMovieRentals.com is discarding thousands of empty DVD casings from our rental inventory.  These are new casings from our DVD inventory.  They had only been used when we received our DVDs for rental.

If you are interested, please submit a request to our customer service department at http://filipinomovierentals.helpserve.com/index.php?_m=tickets&_a=submit&step=1&departmentid=2 before December 31st 2010 and let us know how many you want.

If you are in the Dallas area, you can pick-up the item.  If you are outside the Dallas area, we can ship it to you, pay only for the shipping and handling charges.  All leftovers will be thrown away on January 1st.

Today, we took the time to implement CRM to see how we can utilize this tool to automate our processes.  I have registered for a SalesForce trial before but was not able to completely evaluate it since it seemed like a lot of work and time understanding all the features.  This time, I decided to assign the task of reviewing and configuration to my IT guy.  We reviewed smaller CRM solutions – SugarCRM ZohoCRM and FatFreeCRM.  I found these recommendations from 2 different issues of Inc magazine.  I’m not really sure how these 3 compared to each other but we decided to go with ZohoCRM because of its low monthly fee.  We decided that we would just try it out and re-evaluate other tools as we get familiar with the features and processes.

We have 4 separate websites with different types of customers.  One of the things that we had to consider was if we should combine all customer databases into 1 CRM or 4 different CRMs. We decided to started with our wholesale customers for our My Shaldan website.

The first step of our implementation was importing our customer database from a csv file to ZohoCRM.

Our next step is to set up our users log-in to allow our staff to make use of the tool.

We have several mailing lists of customers that have sign-up with our services or purchased from us. But these list are not being utilized well except for email newsletters. I feel that we could make use of these lists better, not just for marketing purposes but for establishing relationships with our customers.

How do I add thousands of email addresses to my personal Facebook contacts or to our Facebook page without spamming? Importing from a contact list to Facebook does not allow you to include an introduction. So my challenge for today is finding a positive way of adding these contacts without spamming or violating Facebook’s policy.
